Rhythm and Sim Games Dominate My News Cycle
Sorry to make you dust off your neural link for a byte-sized download, but not a lot caught my eye this week.
Now jack in and read the quick week before you enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.
RedOctane Bringing Back Rhythm Games
The former Guitar Hero studio is on its way back. The new game is mentioned as “Guitar Hero-style” and is being led by one of the leads on multiple Guitar Hero games.
Why This Matters: Fortnite Festival seems to have started a revolution. Guitar Hero and Rock Band were revolutionary. I’m excited to see where this new game goes, and what kind of music will be a part of it.
My Take: Please, please, please bring back Guitar Hero. The game is announced as “something different” and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
Question: Are you ready for a rhythm game resurgence?
Quick Bites
- Tiny Bookshop looks like a simulation game straight out of my dreams. I love sims and I love books and this looks so cute and cosy. I’m definitely going to be adding it to my Steam library sooner rather than later.
There’s a lot more news I skipped, so drop me some comments or hit me up on X, @darkstarshady, if you want to continue the conversation.
