I have to admit, I haven’t felt at the top of my game this past weekend. I’m waiting to start a new job, I’m a little behind on bills, and life feels like it’s in a weird place. It’s been hard to feel motivated, but there’s been a ton of wrestling to keep my brain occupied.
When wrestling hasn’t been on—and I’m not writing or hustling with online gigs—I’ve been diving into a new video game.
Neural Log is my new semi-regular update for what I’ve been playing.
Since I’m in a bit of a funk, I decided to throw myself into another world, and I’m finally playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. I started this game when it was released, but never got very far into it. I had been pretty busy, and I stopped playing most games after I broke both arms last summer. It finally felt like a good time to get into the game.
I just finished playing the part of the game where Peter goes to search the foundry for Tombstone. Harry Osborne joins him, complete in a new symbiote-enhanced suit.

Oh, and I also discovered I like playing with photo mode. I’m not as into it as I am with Cyberpunk 2077’s mode, but it’s still really fun.
I’m really enjoying the game.
Peter and Harry have such a great dynamic so far, but I’m terrified something’s going to break my heart.
Did I mention that I somehow avoided all spoilers for this game? Please don’t ruin it for me.
The web wings have added a whole new layer of awesome to swinging around New York City. And there are some great upgrades that make the entire experience more fun.
I’m still adjusting to the new character models, especially MJ’s. I definitely preferred her original look from the first game.
It’s great to be able to fall into their world again, and I’m enjoying taking my time exploring the city before I get too deep in the story. Spider-Man is one of the games that I want to be longer. I love the universe and the characters, and it’s amazing to return back to them.

A few other games have claimed some of my time this week:
- Phasmophobia – Weirdly enough, I play this with my ex and her girlfriend. The game is more fun than I thought it would be, and we play it together at least once a week.
- Super Mario 3D Land – I’m actually playing this for the first time, and it’s perfect for quick bursts on my Poké Ball 2DS XL.
- WWE 2K25 – I stay locked in on GM mode, and I recently uploaded a few random YouTube clips from my current run.
